I have represented employees against Darden (Olive Garden, Texas Longhorn), Bechtel Corp., Education Explosion (charter school unpaid wages), Tangipahoa Parish School Bd; LSU A&M, State of Louisiana DOTD, BESE, security guard companies (Securitas, GEO, Loomis), Frito-Lay, CVS Pharmacy, Barnes & Noble College Booksellers, Noble Drilling, INEOS, Louisiana Cardiology Associates, Southern University A&M, The Methodist Church, Ouachita Parish Police Jury, and IESI.  

Won a 5th Circuit federal Court of Appeals case (Bias v TPSB; 816 F.3d 315) where we expanded the pool of possible defendants in False Claims Act lawsuits from not just employers but to those who employ contractors and agents.

Won before the 1st Circuit Louisiana Appellate Court & Louisiana Supreme Court (Foster v Bias, 2016 La. App. LEXIS 2408, writ denied, 2017 La. LEXIS 609 (La., Mar. 24, 2017).  The courts found my client bullet-proof against defamation when speaking in court proceedings in his status as a private attorney general.

J.D. from Loyola University College of Law in 2006 (top grades in contracts and legal accounting) and a Ph.D. from University of Maryland. I was a tenured professor in soil fertility and plant nutrition at Louisiana State University before my law career.

Committee member of the lawyer referral service of the Baton Rouge Bar Association; and member of the Baton Rouge, Louisiana and U.S. bar associations.

I  wrote in the Louisiana Bar Journal in its February, 2014 issue of how far the 5th Circuit will go to protect same-sex discrimination

I presented a talk at the LSU Employment Law Update on 3/9/2012 at LSU regarding wage claims;  participated in National Employment Lawyer's Association's conventions in Atlanta (2010, 2015) and New Orleans.  Attended class on Academic Freedom in the Classroom hosted by AAUP (American Association of University Professors) on March 25, 2016 via internet.
