John J. Fellin, Esq. joined the firm of WINKLER, KURTZ & WINKLER, LLP in 2010. Mr. Fellin has been practicing matrimonial and family law exclusively since his admission to the bar of the State of New York. Mr. Fellin devotes 100% of his practice to divorce and family law. Mr. Fellin has experience in both contested and uncontested divorce matters, and handles all areas of matrimonial and family law litigation, up to and including trial. Mr. Fellin has gained substantial experience in complex litigation involving equitable distribution, child custody, and child support, and many other areas of matrimonial and family law litigation.

Mr. Fellin has made it his goal to be available to his clients when they need him, to be honest with his clients, to represent his client?s zealously and fairly, and to understand the needs and requirements of each client and each case.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fellin worked for the City of New York?s Business Integrity Commission where he served as Executive Agency Counsel. The Business Integrity Commission?s goal is to eliminate the influence of organized crime and enterprise corruption in the City?s carting, construction, and public markets businesses. In this position, Mr. Fellin gained valuable experience in complex auditing and financial investigation of corporations large and small. Mr. Fellin is able to use this experience to help his clients understand complex financial arrangements and documents, and to better provide for his clients in the financial components of their divorce cases.

Mr. Fellin graduated from Chaminade High School in Mineola, New York and subsequently graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2005. Mr. Fellin earned his juris doctor from Touro Law School in 2008. During his time at Touro, Mr. Fellin earned awards of distinction in Trial Practice and Family Law, and was an Associate Editor in Chief of the Moot Court Board of Advocates. Mr. Fellin earned an award at graduation for "Exceptional Contributions to the Quality of Student Life." Mr. Fellin is admitted to the bar of the State of New York since 2010, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, and Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association.

Mr. Fellin currently resides in Massapequa with his Wife, Nicole and daughter, Ava.
